User Terms

These Terms govern your use of ChatPSLE. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

ChatPSLE ("we", "us", "our") provides an online learning platform offering exam papers, quizzes, and AI-assisted tutoring for Singapore primary-school students. By accessing or using the service at app.chatpsle.com, you ("user", "you") accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility & Parental Consent

The service is intended for primary-school students (typically ages 9–12) and their parents or guardians. If you are under 18, you may only use ChatPSLE with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian and that you accept these Terms on the child's behalf.

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including a valid email address.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
One account per user. Sharing accounts with others is not permitted.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

ChatPSLE offers free and paid (premium) tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe and may auto-renew on a recurring basis until cancelled.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the in-app billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
New premium subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first payment under our Refund Policy. After this period, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may, at our discretion, issue partial refunds for clearly mistaken charges.
Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.
You authorise us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable fees plus any taxes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Scrape, copy, or redistribute exam papers, quiz content, or other ChatPSLE materials beyond personal study use.
Submit prompts to our AI tutors that are abusive, illegal, harmful, or unrelated to learning.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or interfere with the service's systems or AI safety controls.
Use the service to cheat on examinations administered by your school in ways your school prohibits.
Resell or commercially exploit any part of the service without our written permission.

6. AI-Generated Content

ChatPSLE uses third-party large-language models (currently Google Gemini) to generate hints, explanations, and feedback. AI output:

May be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify against official school materials and an MOE-aligned syllabus.
Is not a substitute for a qualified teacher. Use it as a study aid, not a primary source of truth.
Is provided "as is" — we do not guarantee correctness, suitability, or fitness for any particular exam.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on ChatPSLE — including exam paper PDFs (sourced under fair-use educational licensing), quizzes, lesson scripts, branding, and software — is owned by ChatPSLE or its licensors and is protected by Singapore and international copyright law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the content for your own study only.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., quiz answers, AI prompts), but grant ChatPSLE a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, store, and use that content to operate, improve, and personalise the service.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, fail to pay subscription fees, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, exam-result outcomes, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatPSLE's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) S$100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or examination outcomes.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
